Day 106 - Tuesday 3rd October 2017

I had a really relaxing night's sleep in my own bed last night.... for the first time in 103 days! Jack got himself up at about 7am and got himself ready for school.... I decided to have a bit of a lie in.... I got up at 7:45am, had some breakfast with Jack and then he set off walking to school by himself (all of 2 minutes away). I had a shower in the wobbliest shower in the world and then went to work at about 8:30am.... another day looking blankly at the 4,000 plus unread emails on my PC! Wondering how the heck i'm going to catch up with the last 3 and a half months off!!! Jack walked home from school and let himself in with his new key and I arrived shortly after to make his dinner while he did his homework.... grandma's sausage, mash, peas and gravy that I knicked out of the freezer at RMH the other day, with a couple of yorkshire puds! 😁😁

After dinner, Jack went up to his room, carried on with his homework at his desk, played his drums, then went in to his cinema room to play on his PS4! He is so happy that we are home and things are going back to normal for him..... I still felt pretty groggy but I got ready to go up to the hospital to see Lisa and Theo at about 6pm.... but just before we left, the sparky turned up to sort a couple of bits out.... so I didn't end up going to the hospital again tonight to see Theo 😢😢 I spoke to Lisa a few times during the day and she said he was still doing ok, but that he had failed his sleep study again last night. She said he has also got klebsiella pneumoniae and staphylococcus aureus on his chest..... I googled it and it is most likely caused by inadequate hand washing..... I hope he's going to be ok.... it sounds really bad but Lisa said it is nothing to worry about and should go away on its own eventually.... poor baby ❤❤ The doctors upped his diuretics again because he lungs have not been coping very well with the reducion of the diuretics from last week. He also had another brain scan and the doctors said it looks like the bleeds are starting to resolve themselves which is really good..... they said because he's so small, he should learn to re-route around any damage. They did say that we wouldn't know for sure until he gets older.... walking, talking, cognitive ability etc.... I know he's going to be fine, but regardless, he will get the best opportunities he can have 😁😁 I haven't seen Theo properly for ages now and I'm really missing him! Plus, it's only been a couple of days since Jack and I have been home and I'm missing Lisa too 😢 I just want everyone home now so we can all start our new life!!
