Day 102 - Friday 29th September 2017

I woke up full of man-flu this morning 😷😷.... I feel terrible!! I didn't go over to see Theo as I didn't want him to get poorly, so I took Jack straight to school and then went round to the house to finish off with the cleaning and final bits.... there was actually still loads to do..... I put the massive mirror up on the bathroom wall and the painters smoothed over the shocking plastering that the builder did and then painted the bathroom walls and ceiling..... the bathroom suite looks terrible so I'm going to have to get my mates lads in to re-fit the entire suite.... I don't think the guy who did it has ever fitted a bathroom before! Absolute joke!!!! I put Lisa off coming to the house today by saying I'd drilled through a pipe in the kitchen and needed to sort it out..... that should buy me a couple more days 😉 My friends wife called me in the afternoon with the details of my friend's funeral. She asked me if I would let all of the veterans know and then asked me if I would carry his coffin.... I took a really deep breath and said that I would be honoured to do that. His funeral is next Thursday, 5th October, so I spoke to another one on the vets who said he would let everybody know and suggested we all wear our war medals and do a guard of honour. I picked Jack up from school and took him to his Grandmas for his dinner again, then went on a shopping spree to get a few bits for the house..... I completely lost track of the time and didn't end up picking Jack up until gone 10pm.... still loads to do but the carpet is down on the stairs and landing and the painters have finished everywhere, so just a couple more flatpacks to build and then a final clean top to bottom ready for the big reveal (possibly tomorrow 😁😁😁) I didn't get to see Theo again today because I'm full of man flu.... it's best I stay away because I feel awful and the last thing I want is him getting poorly at this stage 😓 Lisa said that he has been doing really well today and has been really cute wrapped up in a cuddly blanket with a bunny ears hat on..... she sent me a picture of him with his dummy in..... so cute ❤❤ I can't believe I've got I'll.... I'm not going to be able to have a cuddle for days now 😢😢 Thanks for reading, please share this blog with everyone you know to extend it's reach....
