Day 95 - Friday 22nd September 2017

May 11, 2018

I was up early this morning to spend some time with Theo before taking Jack to school.... he was still doing great 😁😁 but was still in his incubator 🙁🙁.... I took him out again to give him his 7am milk and have a quick cuddle before Lisa came over with Jack at about 7:45am.

I dropped Jack off and then spent the day at home again, trying to sort the mess out all over the place! Talk about disrespectful builders..... the place looks like a building site!! Just missing a builder though as surprise surprise, he didn't turn up again!!

I was upstairs with the painters sorting Theo's nursery out and I heard a noise downstairs.... I went down to the kitchen and the labourer was in there with another lad and they had taken all the plastic protection film off the kitchen units???? I asked them what they were doing and the labourer said that his boss had told him to come and do it..... It's not even been re-wired, plastered or painted yet!! WHAT ARE THESE IDIOTS ON??!! I told them to stop what they were doing and get out!

Lisa called in the afternoon and said that Theo has been reduced down to a nasal cannula for his breathing support which is really good! But it means that we will probably be home by his due date which is in 8 days!!! It's getting really close now and I am getting super stressed about the house!!

I called the builder to tell him I have had enough..... he blamed everyone else and said he would sort it today!.... I then called my mate builder and told him that I'd had enough of this rubbish one... and that I was going to sack him when he came round.... I was calling him every name under the sun and then the line went dead! I called my mate back to carry on the conversation and he said he didn't know what I was talking about!! I looked at my phone...... I'd called the current builder by mistake on the last call 🙈🙈🙈..... oh well, at least he knows where we all stand now!!

About an hour later he turned up in his van and parked around the back.... I went out to see him and said "now we know where we stand, you clearly haven't got the time or manpower to finish the job, so I am bringing my own builders in".... he begged me not to throw him off the job and said he was doing his best to sort it.... and that it was everybody else's fault!! I told him that he could keep his tiler and plumber on the job to finish the bathroom, (which apart from half a wall of tiles and a damaged bath, was still completely stripped out), but, that I was going to sort all the other jobs out myself..... It's going to be a busy 8 days now trying to get the place sorted and ready for for Theo's due date.... if you want a job doing.....do it yourself!!

I picked Jack up at 4pm and we headed back to the hospital. I saw Theo for about an hour when we got back..... he looked so cute on his nasal canular..... I took Jack back to RMH for his tea and then didn't get to see Theo for the rest of the night because Lisa stayed on the unit until really late, and I stayed with Jack in RMH 🙁🙁
