Day 72 - Wednesday 30th August 2017

I was up early today to see Theo. He was doing great and the nurse said he'd been quiet as a mouse again all night 😁😁 He looked so small in his cot bed so I took him out for a quick cuddle before picking Jack up from RMH at about 7:45am..... Lisa had been up since 4am again expressing and was waiting for me to come back so she could go over to be with Theo.... Jack was really tired and she couldn't get him motivated to get up..... he was ready though so we quicky had some breakfast and then all left RMH at the same time..... Jack and I went to work and Lisa to the unit..... like passing ships!

I worked most of the day on the bid again..... it's relentless!! But I have been stressing out about the main work at home because the builder is really dragging his feet with starting...... So I decided to leave Jack playing in the boardroom while I went to Howdens myself to design the new kitchen..... it took about 2 hours but it looks great, I just need them to come out tomorrow now and measure up properly to make sure it fits!!

Jack and I went back up to the hospital at 4pm because Theo was due another bath at about 6pm.... We all bathed him and he discovered his hand.... he's so cute! Lisa's mum was there so I let her bath him with Lisa and Jack while I waited outside the room.... I'd have thought that you could have more than two adults in this room as there is a lot more space, but rules are rules I suppose. Theo has been doing great again all day today, but still no scan on his hand!! To be honest I don't think there is any point now..... it's almost gone itself!! Thank got it wasn't anything really serious though!! I took Jack over to RMH at about 7:30pm and made some tea for us all. Lisa came over to eat with us and then went back to the unit, while Jack and I went back to our room.... Jack played on his PS4 (for a change) and I cracked on with the bid until Lisa came back at about 12:30am. I don't know how she is managing these long days on the unit..... it's like she's doing a 20 hour nurses shift every day..... she's really found the strength from within to cope with this situation..... I'm so proud of her ❤ Thanks for reading, please share this blog with everyone you know to extend it's reach.... Subscribe to our page to receive a notification of the next blog....
