Day 50 - Tuesday 8th August 2017

Up early again today to see Theo before going to the new office. He had had a great night with our usual really nice nurse.... all wrapped up snug in a little basket of blankets..... his gases were still boarderline but he was really settled (on his tummy). We had the same lovely nurse as yesterday on again so I gave him his 8am feed, changed his nappy and then went back over to RMH to pick Jack up ready to go to work on Sorting the new office move out. Lisa went to the ward round and the doctor said they were just going to keep him the same. They also told Lisa that Theo would probably be in hospital for a couple of weeks after his due date of 30th September and will most likely have to go home on oxygen, so it is likely that we will spend spend around 117 days here.... I was hoping we were half way there in a couple of days but looks like it will be a bit longer..... 😢 I spent most of the day going between the two offices. The cleaners were in the new office cleaning from top to bottom and the carpeters were in there laying half of the carpets. In the old office we had guys in dropping half of the desks and cupboards ready for moving over tomorrow! Crazy busy day!! I got back to the hospital at about 5:30pm. As soon as I got there Lisa told me that he was being moved to room 6.... High Dependency, whoop, whoop!! Massive step forward.... no more need to be in intensive care 😁😁 The doctor came over to see us before we moved and said that they would be keeping a very close eye on him and if he needed to go back in to intensive care he would go straight back. It was probably a little bit soon to move him out but they needed the bed for a new baby that was on its way in to the world early..... good luck little one! Off we went to a very spacious, lovely room number 6..... it was pretty cool in HD 😁 Theo had the same spot (bed 2) and slept all the way through the transfer.... he woke up shortly after and had a good look around (not that he can see anything yet). He was smiling his head off at me when I was talking to him..... he's so cute! Jack and I came back to RMH at about 9pm and I made tea for me and Lisa (Grandma's corn beef ash), while Jack played on his playstation. Lisa came over at 9:40pm and we ate together. I'm so proud of Theo, he's doing really well. We had a nurse who had looked after him once before in the room tonight, so she knew him quite well... They all said that he left an impression on them and they all loved him. She was really nice and let me and Lisa get on with everything.... it was really quiet in the room tonight, no alarms going off, no rushing around.... a really good sign that Theo is heading in the right direction.... home.... although there is still a long way to go. Well done daddy's little solider.... I hope your next move is to the nursery in a few weeks ❤❤❤❤ Thanks for reading, please share this blog with everyone you know to extend it's reach....
